Sheldon Museum Shipping Information
All
merchandise is shipped via the United States Postal Service.
Fedex, UPS and other mail carriers are NOT AVAILABLE in our tiny town.
Shipping is automatically calculated according to the volume of items
you purchase. Most items will be sent in a USPS priority flat rate envelope
or flat rate box depending on the size, fragility and number of items
involved. Shipping rates start at $5.15. Multiple items (up to 10 pins
or zipper pulls or 2-4 small books) can be mailed for this start-out price.
In most cases your merchandise should arrive within 3-10 business days,
however, because of our isolated location (Haines, Alaska), even priority
mail can move slow, especially in the winter when adverse weather can
seriously delay mail. Please give at least 2-3 weeks for your
package to arrive.
Purchasing
Something Tiny?
If you wish to purchase something very small and inexpensive (such as
one pin) and don't mind how long it will take to get to you, we can mail
it in a small envelope for just a few dollars. Please email the Museum
Store and we can email you a Paypal money request for the total purchase
price.
Destinations
We ship to all states in the United States. We
can also ship to Canada and Internationally,
however, you MUST email the Museum
Store with a list of the merchandise
you are interested in and a request for a shipping quote. We will be happy
to send you an invoice for your total purchase and shipping via Paypal.
Insurance
We strongly encourage you to purchase insurance on all shipments, but
especially those over $50.00. The Sheldon Museum is not responsible
for lost or damaged shipments. Insurance is already included on domestic
purchases of $300.01 and over. Again, please give an absolute minimum
of two weeks for your package to arrive (the Post Office will accept
claims up to 180 days from the shipping date). If you have a claim you
wish to file, keep ALL of the damaged goods (which the Post Office may
wish to inspect) and email the Sheldon Museum. We will send you your
